This Privacy Policy describes how Budget Me (the "App") handles your information. The App is designed as a local-first, offline personal finance assistant.

Budget Me does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal or financial data to external servers.

• Local Data Storage: All budgets, accounts, transactions, and settings you enter are stored securely and locally on your own device using an internal SQLite database.
• No Personal Information: We do not ask for, collect, or store personal identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, or bank credentials.

2. Third-Party Services & Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions to function:

• Internet Access: Used exclusively to facilitate the optional cloud backup feature (Google Drive Backup) if explicitly enabled and authorized by you. No data is sent to us or any third parties other than your own secure Google Drive storage.

3. Data Security

Because your data is stored entirely on your device, the security of your data depends on the security of your device. We recommend securing your device with a PIN, pattern, or biometric authentication to prevent unauthorized access to your local database.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Since the App is local-only, we encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
